I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now. I revolve each day on how I will spend my time with him. There are times when I sit by the phone and wait for his calls. I haven't been hanging out with my friends anymore, because I want to see him as much as I can. And I'm only 19! I can tell that my clingy personally annoys him. He has always been sweet enough to understand and let it go. But I know that before he won't be attracted to it anymore, and I will only become miserable from this.

So I was completely honest with him.... I explained to him that I wanted to spend more time alone, but still stay with him. I told him that I wanted to better myself and give him some space. At first he understood, but after a few weeks he has grown very cold. Hes accusing me of putting him down easy, and has questioned if I am cheating on him!

The feelings are still there, and I still want to be with him. So am I being unfair asking for a little space?!?

you said you were honest with him. did you tell him it was coz you thought you were getting too clingy? it could be that he's used to your clingy personality and the way you're distancing yourself could make him feel as if YOU'RE being cold to him AND did break up with him...

all I know is you need to let him know the whole story before asking for space coz you say he's getting annoyed, but that may not be the case at all...just talk things out

You arent doing anything wrong! I understand you want to spend more time with your bf and its hard for him to do that all the time with you because he's probably busy. And you've even tried giving him some space as well. I have no idea why he's accusing you of cheating on him at all because it makes no sense why someone would want to be spending more time with them if they were cheating.

I think you guys need to get together and have a serious talk to settle some things down. Ask him why he's thinking that you're cheating on him.

NO! If he gives you grief over this, then he's just being a big baby! Every woman needs her space & you're young. These are the years where you shouldn't be tied down to anyone.
He's a man, so of course he's going to get his feelings hurt. My friend, Sharon, used to have a boyfriend that would stick to her like glue. Everywhere she went, he was breathing down her neck. B/c of him acting this way, it made her unattracted to him. 2 mths. later, they were over.
Him doing this is only hurting himself & the relationship. Tell him this! The best thing you can do is try your hardest to have him understand what you mean.
If he questions your cheating again, tell him that just b/c you're not w/ him in a room of guys, doesn't mean that you're
hooking up behind his back. He needs to seriously calm down.
Tell him you love him & still want to be w/ him but that you need your space. It DOESN'T mean you want to end it & it DOESN'T mean you want to be w/ somebody else.
Good luck, girl! ♥

no ... you have the right to ask for your space ..... i think the best way to help yourself and your relationship is to tell him what you do in your time away from him or if you spend that time with a person get them to vouch for you so yall can build trust b/w you 2 and make sure that the time you spend together he understands that you care about him .... spend a lil time of when yall are together pampering him, i promise you he WILL return the favor of pampering him by pampering you ....... also i know that this may sound like the boys job but you can get him a present or a gift and write or buy a really sweet card on one random day ...... just try and be honest which it sounds like you are and if you want this to work ... try and work with him but don't back down from what u want.....

Not at all, you go girl.... If you forever revolve your life around him you will never find your true self. tell him that you need to spend some time alone to do things like paint your nails, catch up on the goss with the girls and spend time with your family. If he wants to see you let him know that he is more than welcome to call or come see you. This way he will start wanting you more as soon as he realises you still want him. He should start making more of an effort to see you coz he'll be missing you.

ya but that might kill you're guy's relationship. he might think you are dumping him so make it clear that you are NOT dumping him, and be sure to keep in touch with him.
