Pathfinders. Thats basically what they do.Jump in first, disrupt enemy comms and supplies if they can and lead the way for the main assault force.Paras, but with more brains.

There is no regiment known as the pathfinders in the British army.Volunteers were used in WWII for this duty if that's what you mean and the RAF sent pathfinders in to mark targets for raids.The Green Jackets or Rifles are a light unit originally used as skirmishers in the Napoleonic wars.The Household cavalry are an armoured unit and do specialise in reconnaissance so they are the better at it.

I think it will be the royal pathfinders. Household Calvary is to be part of the palace gaurd. Most British Military Units know as Rifles.

Therefore it is the Pathfinders.

The Pathfinders are an advance reconnaissance platoon for the paras - i'd go with them.

no such regiment as pathfinders,each regiment has its own recce troop or coy,green jackets infantry,household cavalry mechanised....apples and oranges.
