How do you build a superconductor? I have to do my own science lab and i chose this.

You sure picked a dandy. Must like a challenge. This could be expensive or not depending on how big you make it.

Coil a roll of bare aluminum wire and install it in a container with an insulated inlet and outlet for the ends of the wire. Insulate the wire from the container with a nonconductor.
Insulate the outside of the container to limit heat transfer to the interior. (Styrofoam?) Insulate the walls, bottom, and lid, or top.
A stainless steel or aluminum container would be best.

Measure the resistivity of the coil of wire.

Fill the container to cover the coil of wire with either liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen. (or do each separately to see how much better the liquid oxygen works because it is colder.)

Wait for the coil to reach a low temp and measure the resistance again, it should be a much lower number than before, because the more you lower the temp. of your coil, the lower the resistance becomes and the more "superconducting" it becomes.

You can buy liquid nitrogen and oxygen locally, look in the phone book, but have some supervision when handling these materials and when doing this experiment.
