We brought him to the vet to get some test done because he is getting older and he was there about 4 hours by himself and i think itreally tramatised him. Hes barley moving now...hedoesnt seem responsive to his name...he doesnt always follow my hand when i move it...infact he rarely does....he kind of has a drugged out look like sometimes his eyes go really squinty....hes barley walking i dunno whats going on. Im scared hes going todie but I cant bring him back to the vet because I know he couldnt handle going out anymore,it would kill him for sure. When he does walk it seems all off balance...i dunno whats going on please help if u have any ideas

i called the vet earlier when we first brought him home and they said they would get the vet to call us back but he never did....He seems more responsive now like he looks at me sometimes when i pet him, i put him in his favorite spot by the window and a bird flew by and he looked at it, he can walk but he seems off...i hope hes ok because like i know my parents wont bring him back to the vet and i honestly think that the cry ride there would kill him, like there would be no chance for him if i brought him back there...i just hope hes ok, hes starting to look better, hes just laying on his coushin thing not really moving but now hes looking and stuff when i call his name

Actually, not taking him to the vet could be the biggest mistake you could ever make. It sounds serious to me, and if the first respondant is speaking truth, then it gives you more the reason to go back. Because the problem most likely will get worse.

I hope your cat turns out fine.

I've never heard of a cat getting traumatised by the vet. He sounds like he had a stroke which means you need to take him to the vet immeadiatly! My cat I had for 10 years died from a massive stroke.

Just ask your self, would you feel worse if he died from attempting to care for him or because you didn't do anything?

well the off balance thing is easy maybe he is gaining weight its common in old cats and cats eyes go squinty sometimes cuz they're tired u should probably take him to the vet to make sure.. OR maybe he just needs a " lady friend " :)

You need to take him back to the vet it sounds like he may have had a stroke. See if you can get a vet to come to see your cat. He is obviously in ill health and it is your duty to get him the proper care. Good luck

Oh sure! each and all the time lol, it makes me leap up with fright and make an apology (cats call) and then I comprehend it particularly is barely between the cats rubber balls that i'm stepping on. it is so humorous while that takes place! lol

It's obvious you really love him. You really need to take him back to the vet. Even if you don't bring him to the same vet at least take him in. If you don't and something bad happens you'll never forgive yourself. I know. I didn't act fast enough and lost my baby boy kitty. He was my best bud and miss him horribly. Please go now.

If you're worried about taking him back call the vet right now to see if it's something they did(like sedation). They'll tell you if you need to take him in or not.

So get on the phone for the health of your cat.

I would call the vet as soon as you can and tell them what is going on, what he just had done, and ask if it could be temporary side effects or something worse.
