Wow. Do you have a chip on your shoulder? We only care for your well-being. If Christians get upset because you don't believe, that is because they care about you. They're so convinced of the truth they believe, they want you to have it, too. Christians are not the enemy out there trying to "get you", they simply care. They aren't going to get upset like a kid trying to convince his friends he really did see the boogy man.

It probably does bother some.
It doesn't bother me at all.
I have a different way of looking at it.
I am a true believer in election.
I also know who the elector is.
It is He that elects and not me, I have nothing to do with it.
I happen to be an elected. I am thankful for being elected.
I don't believe He was talking to me when He gave the eleven Apostles the great commission.
If you get elected very good.
If you don't, it means nothing to me.

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. I think it's ridiculous how people attack each other on these message boards. You are totally entitled to your opinion that we believe in stories. And yes, those questions you mentioned are pretty petty. Hope you have a nice night!

Nope, not at all. You don't try to ram your beliefs down my throat I won't do it to you. Well that and I really don't have the time or energy to worry about everyone else. I know not a very Christian thing to say, but it does cause less problems that way.

What I can't figure out is why THEY care. If they believe they're going to heaven, why should they care about the rest of us? Isn't our damnation OUR problem? I just wish they would remain silent in their certainty. The world would be a much quieter place.

Most of them actually care about you, and don't want you to suffer. That's why they're telling you about it. It often degenerates into a quarrel when we don't agree. But that's a shame, since they're honestly trying to help. I venture to say that most of us are not very good at help, either receiving it or giving it.

Only the Christians who are control freaks.
I know people who are Christians that follow the bible in their own lives, but don't force it down anyone else's throat.

i think it does.
there are 3 real reasons why people beleive in the christian god:
1. it makes them feel good.
2. they want to go to heaven
3. they dont want to go to hell.
in going to focus on #1. it makes them feel good.
obviously someone is going to wonder why you dont do the same thing theyre doing. it makes them feel good so everyone should do it.
my cousin michael asked me if i wanted to go skiing with him. i told him no. he asked me why not. i said i dont like skiing. he said i was weird.
same thing. i dont get enjoyment from what they do. so that makes me odd....to them.
i hope that made sense.

I agree with Johnny, it must bother them, or they would just leave us alone. Who knows.
