Me and my bf were going out for about a year and 3 months. We broke up about 2 weeks ago cause we decided that we should be friends, but that was mostly his decision. Now right now i am finding it a little hard to be friends with him becuase i still have feelings for him although i don't want to get back together with. I considered the idea to stop talking to him for a while but i don't want to stop talking to him. I am really confused on what i should do right now. I want to still be cool with him but sometimes it's too hard because i still love him. What should i do?
He also still wants to go to prom with me. Should i go with him or not?

that is a long time together. being friends is next to impossible at this point. from experience when you end a relationship of that long you need to cut ties for a while and figure out your life without the other. otherwise your boundaries as friends and as a couple will become unclear and complicated.
as far as a prom goes, I would see if you can both find other dates, if not go with each other, more than likely you will go in a big group and if things don't go soo well you will still have plenty of others to hang with and hopefully it won't be too uncomfortable.

I feel for you - only because that's how long me and my fionce' have been together, and I'd feel the same if we broke up. If I were you (which I'm not so don't take this too seriously) I would just tell him I couldn't be "just friends" and if we wern't getting back together I'd have to move on. I mean, I know you probably don't want to - but you're still in high school, sweetie! Life hasn't even begun! I hope you make the right decision.

Stay friends and go ahead and unless you get asked by someone else go with him to prom- if he is asking you to prom he still might love you too.

why would you go with him to the prom? you're denying yourself a chance to find someone better. i think your ex is very selfish. he breaks up with you but he still wants you to go with him to the prom. he should let you go on with your life so you can have a chance to meet other guys.
and believe me, there are lots of guys out there waiting to have the chance.

do what makes u comfortable if u ned some distance to mvoe on all the way cuase ur still hurting hten do it. if u can handle going to prom and tlaking to him as freinds right now then go for it.

this door closed for a reason. and the reason is theres someone better out there meant for you.... some relationships are a stepping stone to better prepare you for what is to come.
I think if he just wanted to be your friend, yet wants to use you as a date.... say no and go with your girlfriends and have fun
