My first love and I met when we were teenagers. We're now 30ish. I contacted him last year. I found out he was going thru a divorce and in the process of buying a new house. He lives in CA while I live in NV. A few months after I found him, we met face-to-face. I felt this amazing connection the second we saw each other. I think about him a lot and wonder if we'll end up together. Do I tell him I still care about him or assume that he knows? He said that he wants to visit again but he hasn't made any plans. The last time we saw each other was 6 months ago. Do I assume that he's not interested? What do I do? I'm afraid that if I tell him how I feel, it will push him away. He's just getting out of a marriage after all. HELP!

You're right to assume that he probably knows that you still have some lingering feelings for him. Take it slow; as you said, he is just getting out of a divorce (and the house situation is probably stressing him out as well). Assume for now that he hasn't made further plans to see you because he is preoccupied with the more urgent things in his life. Give it a few more months and try to set up another trip to see him. If he continues to be standoffish about it, then it may be safe to assume that he is not interested. If all else fails and you feel that there is nothing left to lose, simply tell him that you still have feelings for him and ask him how HE feels.

Give him more time, maybe he's still in the process of recovering from what has happened to his marriage. Anyway, if he's really interested in you, he'll make a move. Maybe he's seeing another girl right now, we're not sure but in the meantime, stop thinking about him so much. That wont do any good.
