i am looking to translate "in god we trust" from english to italian

"We trust in God" = "Confidiamo in Dio"
"In God we trust" is "In Dio confidiamo", which although correct the same way as it is in English, is not used in Italy.
According to the context, could also be "Ci affidiamo a Dio", the meaning is the same, but more close to "May God decide what's best for us"

Thanks, Martox. I'm really sad you're right. It happened twice that users gave their vote (not just a thumb, the final poll when Asker doesn't choose a reply) to a silly, senseless translation from an automatic tool instead of go for my suggestion. Just a few people *at least* state clearly they used Babelfish or similar...

I want add that's the only one from a native speaker, all the others being wrong or clearly coming out (with bad results...!!) from on line translators. I wonder when Yahoo's people will stop using them to answer questions about no mother tongue languages.
I can understand wrong human translations but I can't suffer those ones given by just using the Internet. What's funny is that quite often they provide also the link to "their" on-line translators, like it was a kind of revealed secret and whitout knowing how ridicolous these translations are to the eyes of native speakers of the language they are... let's say...translating !!.
