I asked a question a few days/weeks ago about the hole marks it would leave and everyone was telling me they wern't too noticeable.

EFF whoever is saying "wtf" "don't do it" or "why", it's his body let HIM do what he wants. Plus snakebites are hella awesome, and look hott on guys haha

WOW you guys need shut up. Snake bites are really hot on guys, ok the scar is very small. If you us a anti-biotic oitment it should heal quick and the scarring wouldn`t be soo bad. My scar is not even noticable. So my suggestion is get it! And if you are getting this professionally done it won`t hurt, it will sting for a moment, if you doing this by yourself, it`ll take forever because you`ll be too scared to stick the needle threw and if you rake a long time, it will be infected. So get someone to do it for you.<333

Wow people on here are stupid. Thinking you want to get bitten by a snake...psh.
Anyways, my boyfriend has snake bites and they look sexy as hell. He said they didn't hurt too bad, and you can see the holes pretty clearly, but you can disguise them with makeup.
(I covered his for him when he had a job interview).
I also have a lip piercing and the pain wasn't too bad. It feels like when you get scratched or something. There's like that warm tinglely feeling, and then it stings, and then it just kind of throbs. Nothing a man like you can't handle, right.

Pain is relative, different for everyone.

The holes/scars shouldn't be too noticeable, and once they're closed up you can use vitamin E to minimize scarring. At worse it will look like you picked at a zit (or two in this case)

And for the idiot snake people, snakes are VENOMOUS not poisonous, there's a huge difference in the two!! (big pet peeve of mine) If you're going to be a smart ***, learn the difference!

My lip ring didn't really hurt when I got it -- it's a hard feeling to explain. The needle they use is hollow and really sharp -- I can only relate it to getting cut with a sharp knife, where you feel the slice and the stinging comes a few seconds afterward. Because the needle is hollow it doesn't "tear" through your flesh -- it actually takes out a little sliver of skin with it.

I only had mine for a few weeks before it fell out, and I don't think I would get one again.

I still have a little faint dent under my lip that looks like a chicken pock scar, but its never been noticed by anyone.

So, go for it if you feel like it, you just feel a sharp sensation with a little stinging for a few seconds afterward.

A friend of mine had his and he took them out.
He is about 20 now and you can still see the holes.

Also my boyfriends brother had one side done a year or two ago, and you can sort of see where he had it done.

I think it depends on how long you've had them done for.

Personally, I love snake bites though.

i have my lip pierced and ive been wearing a stud for 4 months, and a ring for 1, and im not going to lie, when i take it out, the hole is pretty noticable. im sure it would close up and be pretty small, but with any piercing (especially facial piercings) there will probably always be a tiny scar.

Oh they hurt! I've never done it but if you think about the cartilage and skill and viens all up in your lip. And yeah they are a bit noticable, just depends on how big you get them, and piercings are permanent dude.
