There is good magic but not good witchcraft.
By definition witchcraft is the attempt to use ones own power to cause an effect. Magic uses the power of the universe from God. It is only effective if used with good intent. Negative intent will curse the user unless it is for justice.
It is all very dangerous. There will be lots of people who won't like me saying that but it's true. And those people know nothing about the occult at all. For them it's a fantasy.
There is a very good line in the film Constantine - "Once you see them, they see you.......there's no going back"
Don't mess with it. It will ONLY bring unhappiness. Some things we aren't supposed to know.
It's nice to see that some braindead dancing naked round a fire fetishist has thumbs downed me! This always happens on this subject.
Theurgia is the closest to good magic. Good magic is something performed with no intention of personal gain.
A love spell is not much different from drug rape. A spell to win the lottery or at gambling is theft as you are taking somebody elses winnings. It's a spiritual trap which most people never understand.
Witchcraft is Goetia and as such is solely for personal gain.
If you could do anything and never go to prison for it or be arrested for it, what would you really do? That's the lure magic has. Then once you use it for wrong the spirit world will hammer you. There are 2 fallen angels whose authority is in punishing the wicked.

Technically, there's no prohibition against witchcraft in the Bible. The term "witch" appears only in a few versions and is actually a mistranslation of a Hebrew word which would roughly be translated as "woman who lays curses upon others." So the practice of general magic or general witchcraft is perfectly fine, and even if you DO harm, it's only against the Bible if you're a woman (that last part was a joke, but LITERALLY true). Anyway, I practice magic, but don't harm anyone (metaphysically or otherwise) without good reason and full preparedness to accept the consequences of said actions; and I don't have much in the way of love/respect for Satan, so I suppose that would make me a "good witch." ^_^ Also, that "color of magic" thing is bullshit. Magic's a tool, like a knife. A knife doesn't change color depending on whether you use it for cooking, self-defense, or cold-blooded murder. Morality is in the hands that wield the tool, not in the tool itself.

Some would argue that asking someone whether they are a good or a bad witch is like asking someone whether you are a good or a bad person. Many disagree with this as no-one can be perfectly good or bad.
However others like to make distinguishments and like to apply the term White Witchcraft for witchcraft that is used for positive intentions and Black witchcraft for witchcraft that is used with negative witchcraft.
What actually makes a good witch however is completely subjectives as witchcraft as no credo.

Here we go again!!!
I am a Witch! We don't recognize the existance of demons or the devil, so how could we worship something that isn't? Evil exists, that is a given, but it is of MAN not of nature. Doing anything even remotely evil goes against our principles. We do our best for humanity and the environment. If we were being influenced or led by the devil, why would he teach us how to use healing herbs and why would he want us to advocate saving the earth? Why would he want us to use our very being to help others? Doesn't that sound more like of "God" than of "Satan"? Can we be so mislead that we spend our entire lives doing good things for people & nature and helping in any way that we can that we are actually doing the work of the "devil"?!? Get real.
If you believe it is bad I suggest you stop using aspirin (willow bark), valium (valerian), digitalis (foxglove) plus inummerable other "drugs" because they are based on herbal knowledge (which is one of our specialties). And I don't think you will find them in the bible either! And Please! Don't get a mid-wife to bring you child into the world, because that is another practice attributed to witches! Oh! Don't forget aromatherapy! Don't forget that the field of medicine was also originated by witches if you want to get down to basics. The cadeuces (the medical symbol) is ancient Celtic in origin, it is 2 serpents entwined on a staff signifying knowledge & wisdom. I am sure that is not in the bible either!!! Especially since the actual symbol predates Christ.
Witchcraft is not evil and has absoloutly nothing to do with Satan, and if people would open their minds and hearts and books (other than the bible which is so full of fallacies it is not funny) they would see this.
Sorry for the ranting, but sometimes the Religious Reich gets to me.

Most witchcraft is just a form of nature spirituality that pays homage to the elements and pagan deities, uses mystical systems such as astrology and healing practices such as herbalism. Is there such a thing as bad witchcraft?

Hmmm, yes and no, yes ther are good witches, Wicca is full of them, No there isn't any grey witches outside of fantasy books, and yes there is Evil witches, There is a source of power that people can tap into, the rituals are a way to focus these energy's but put to the test you manly just need will power belief and focus, Enchanted gypsy says there is no demons but she is deluded, In the end it will be for God to decide whether the good witch deserves heaven or hell, You people need to encompass the sources of power and reflect on what the spirits tell you. Lies are abundant but the truth is there as well. Evil witches, Satanic priests, voodoo priests, all use dogma to tap the same energys that good witches, Holy priests and Padalins use. It mostly depends on how you use it.

some say good/evil or white/black.
i see it as positive or negative.
because what is good for me by default is bad for somebody or something down the road. i do strive to do no harm with my magic but harm comes to all things. and if we affect anything in any way some degree of harm is done..
for example
we need rain for crops. so we gather and do a ritual to bring rain durring a drought. seems innocent enough no harm done right.. wrong.... many animals and insects are killed in every good rain, and it could possibly deprive another area of the needed rain.
this is definatly positive for me and my family. but may well be negative for others.
it is in this regard that i think of magic and the responsibility of useing it in a wise manner.
a Native Medicine man once told me..
"i once caused a tornado to change it's course to avoid hitting me and a campsite that me and several friends were staying at. i thought that no harm would come.
untill i went home the next day and found that it had hit my house. "
"and i thanked Creator that it was just my house and not an entire town. "

It's all in the intent of how it's used... the ability has no 'moral' standpoint, your question is a bit like me asking 'is there such a thing as a bad electricity?' 'Good' if it's used to power a wheelchair, 'bad' if it bites you because you stuck your finger in the socket!

Yes. When Frank Sinatra sings it.
Those fingers in my hair
That sly come hither stare
That strips my conscience bare
Its witchcraft
And Ive got no defense for it
The heat is too intense for it
What good would common sense for it do
cause its witchcraft, wicked witchcraft
And although, I know, its strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in me
My heart says yes indeed in me
Proceed with what your leading me to
Its such an ancient pitch
But one I wouldnt switch
cause theres no nicer witch than you

I am going to make this short and sweet. Magic is neither good or bad it is the intent of the witch that is good or bad. Magic is energy and the energy can go either way depending on the intent of the person casting the spell.
