I have dreams that he is crying on my shoulder and wants to get back together. I split up with him because he is abusive and drinks too much. Why do I keep having these dreams? When I wake up from them I feel so sad. There is a restraining order right now, and we haven't spoken for six months. I have no intentions on getting back together with him. So what's witht he dreams?

Sweetie,deep down you know he needs help.There may also be unresolved feelings.You still may have feelings for him,that deep down you dont want to have but they are there.You cant automaticly stop them,despite how you may want to.Even tho,you dont want him back and even tho you may have anger for him it is still,in fact a break up.Break ups are never easy reguardless of the circumstances.It will still take time to get over him,and it will still take time to move on.This is just your way of getting out your feelings,and realising this man( i hate calling him that,anyone who is abusive doesnt deserve to be called a "man")seriously needs help.More help than you can provide for him actually.He needs a professional.You must realise you cant save him,he has to be willing to save himself.Good luck hun,and have a good night.

Although you may not like something about someone, you probably did love him at some point in time and that essence of love never seems to fade away. I've had relationships turn out for the worst yet I still dream time to time.

it might just be because sometimes you remember people you had affairs with or anything in that manner.
like i have watched 2 certain movies containtly and yesterday i had a dream that combined both movies yet they have nothin in common
