What are your thoughts on Freethought? What do you think of Freethinkers?

I personally feel free thought is important and crucial to our individuality/freedom. I think of freethinkers as progressives who helps societies advance through logic.

most of us feel we have freewill and make our own decisions, and it may be true to an extent. what many do not take into account is the reactions they have which are influenced by past experiences. when one sticks their hand into a fire , their physical reactions is to avoid that pain. so too with the ego which seeks to avoid emotional pain. those who live only in ego, become reactors, not doers, although it feels like freewill and free-thought to them, they are simply conditioned, " reactors". there are probably only a few truely " freethinkers" and the rest of us build religions around them.

Free thought is the only way. W/o it we would have a bunch of zombies that all go around w/ blind faith.

Each to his/her own. I gather the pentagram voices your beliefs. Been there done that. All I got was 20 hooked on drugs and alcohol. By the "grace" of the Lord in heaven that ended 22 years ago................
