John 6:16-27

And Jesus said "Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. To not labour for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life which the Son of man will gige to you, for on him has God the Father set his seal"

Unconditional love for one another is more nourishing than twinkies and beer.

Actually John 6: 26-27 He was telling those who were fed by the miracle of loaves and fishes that instead of following him for food they should follow him for Eternal life. He felt they were after a free meal.

Live for Jesus! He was sent by God to give us eternal life.

u seek his face for his kingdom. the fill of the loaves means u have allot of faith, u r full of it. The signs r for unbelievers. U call on him and ask what is eternal, and how do I get these treasures. Not to live in this world, and desire worldly things. And only through Jesus Christ unto the father, r these things given to u to enjoy with him forever.

This means we who believe in Him and His Son Yeshua, do not put our trust or confidence in temporary 'bread'. But look to Him as the "bread of life" or sustainer of our life. He is our only source for eternal salvation and there is no other who can take His place or accomplish His plans.

We look to Him, not through or because of the miraculous things He can do; but rather because of the saving grace He gives to us as believers.

"To not labour for the food which perishes" means that we know we can't 'earn' salvation; no matter how hard we try or what we do in our life. We will never be 'good' enough to earn Heaven or eternal life. But since we are sinners and we believe in the saving grace; given through the shedding of Yeshua's blood. We will have eternal life, because that is a promise from Yahweh; to all who believe in Him and His Son.

What that means to me is, Blessed is the person who believes in Jesus without the prove that so many people need before believing. And also to not store up treasures here on earth, but serve the Lord, and you will have treasures in heaven that do not ever perish.

In a roundabout way Jesus says to all of us, to nourish the body is important but to nourish our faith and spirituality is the most important of all because this life is finite but the Kingdom of God is infinite.

I think it is saying how they sought Jesus because of the things He would give them. They didnt seek Him out of faith and by seeing His signs. Then that they sould not work for worldy things, but Godly things. Hope this helps....l
