My sister wanted me to ask this question. Quite frankly, neither she nor I have done anything special for our country. I am a disabled Vietnam veteral, but that certainly didn't seem very special. It was simply my career choice.
If you have done anything for your country, please give me something to tell my sister.

Dear "storm" - Joining the military for a few years is certainly doing something for our country. In my case, I planned from the start to make the military my career. (I was an officer, and I was well paid for my service. The enlisted men are the real heroes.)

I'm sorry, but I consider what you did a great service to our country. It is not just a career choice, in my eyes. To be honest, I don't think I've done anything spectacular. I'm patriotic, always salute the flag (the civilian salute) during the pledge and anthem, etc. I also support my family members (including my husband) who have made the "career choice" to serve their country in the military.
*Ah, alotta pointed out something. I do that also, along with recycling and whatnot. I guess that's more for our Earth than just our country.

I served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, retiring from the Army Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC.
While serving, I saw tours in Germany, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Korea, and a whole lot of time dressed as a tree in the bush and airplanes.
My highest award was the Bronze Star; the most coveted was my paratrooper wings.
I vote and pay taxes and pray to God that this country will stay on a righteous course. I believe that our current service men and women are the best that America has to offer. Their sacrifices are many and honorable. Without them, America's security and honor would become void.

1.) Raised my sons to not be criminals that society has to pay for.
2.) Served five years in the Army- 2 Honorable Discharges and numerous awards/ribbons.
3.) Work with Vets at Vet. Hospitals and Rebabilitation Centers.
4) Work- pay taxes.
5). Try to help improve humanity one person at a time, if asked to do so.
I did not serve in Vietnam, but from one vet to another, thank- you, sir, for your service and sacrifice. It IS special and will never be forgotten.

Being a Vietnam vet is defiantly something admirable and good done for our country...thank you.
I can't say I've done very much, but my family has.
My Dad has been overseas(in the Army) 3 times and is leaving again. Two of my younger brothers have received their eagle scout awards(I only made it to life scout). We try to be active in our community and church.
I guess what I've done for our country is this--I've been the best member of a patriotic family I can be and I plan to continue this with a patriotic family of my own!

Pay taxes, that's all our country seems to want anyway....more money to spend on more weapons. I volunteer at several different places and try to always be patient and understanding of those I might not agree with. But that is because I appreciate humanity. There are no borders between humanity.

first i could want to ask the place in the bible does it point out unconditional love? seems to me in my learn that's particularly conditional. you will desire to shop on along with his regulations and settle for Jesus as your savior to be stored so that's conditional. 2nd in my view the hell that's historically taught is misguided. i think of maximum folk think of it's going to be like dantes inferno the place i'm of the opinion you would be thrown into sheol/lake of hearth and you will purely be completely lifeless. devoid of attending to lots into it I even have examine that sheol in the hebrew language is extra heavily translated into "trash heap" as in you will purely be thrown out. I additionally in my opinion have faith whilst the tip certainly comes you will have a huge gamble at a clean selection between the present international ran via devil and Jehovah kingdom. your 0.33 question it may come all the way down to in case you have faith in the bible or not. in case you do Jesus says of course in John 14:6 “i'm the way and the reality and the life. no person is composed of the daddy different than with the aid of me."
