It's frustrating when you're trying to get valuable information about something (which I might add is the whole reason yahoo created answers) and other critize it.
I'm glad there are others out there who ligve whatever lives they choose that make them happy. Tattooed or not. I myself have two, I always have henna tattoos somewhere and I'm working on ideas for a new tat soon for my daughter. And in the daytime, I work in a hospital saving lives.
People ought to think before they judge.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Maybe they are not completely informed on the matter and they are looking for some answers. Also with the way society is and probably always be tattoos have been linked to bikers, hookers, drug addicts, etc. I have a tattoo and I love it. I know that people will look at me different but that does not matter to me. I got my tattoo as a tribute to my mom who passed a number of yrs ago and to my kids who are wonderful people. They have been taught to be excepting of everyone and not to judge just because they may be different. The way people are a result of the way they were taught as young kids growing up.

When me and my husband take walks around the neighborhood together people say smack about us; not only because we are a mixed couple, but we also have tattoos. (We live in a very "white" neighborhood with a bunch of snobs who call the police on us when we have parties)
OMG!! This women came into the tattoo shop the other day and started getting mad at us for getting tattoos and ruining our bodies. We didn't even know her.

I am so sick of hearing the term tramp stamp. Is there any derogatory term for tattoos on guys in certain places? I'm not trying to be a hater myself but it seems to me that most of the bad comments about tattoos are directed to us ladies who choose to get their bodies inked.

It is annoying, but there's all kinds of people out there. People that genuinly want to help others and answer their questions and the people who just want to say stupid stuff and hurt people's feelings.
It's cool that you posted a question for people to express how they feel about these people

No, no hate. Depending on their commentary, anything from ignore to pity. So many show tremendous vanity (the "you'll look awful at 80" statement), an amazing lack of understanding of their own religion ("God hates tats"), ignorant ("You'll get infected & die") or some other from a wide variety of unfortunate traits.
The anonymity of the net gives them the courage to act on these traits, but it's their own persona that gave birth to them in the first place.

it is annoying! i mean we allow them their space to 'express themselves' they should allow those of us with tats the same respect. (oftentimes a decent tat can be less offensive then people with trashy mouths who say smarta$s things without thinking!)
I totally agree with you.
boo to haters!
