An exact age and not a range would be best because from 12-16, puberty hits and energy requirements of a 12 year old will vary vastly from a 16 year old. There are many factors that can influence how many calories you can consume. It will depend on your exact age, current weight, current height and activity level.

An easy rule of thumb is multiply your current weight by 14, 17 or 20. 14 if you exercise 0-2 times a week, 17 if you exercise 3-4 and 20 if you exercise more than that.

Therefore based on your range for a moderately active person (use 17), you can expect to need 1530-2040 calories to maintain your current weight.

Remember that it is just a rough estimate, there are other more specific formulas that consider height and age, but this should be a good ballpark.

10,000-maybe, You're GROWING! Just pay attention to how you feel and how you look, and if you don't feel good or you get too fat or too thin, eat more or less. Caloric requirements vary according to height, age, and activity. When I was 13, I ate a lot more than my Dad, and I've never been overweight. Be careful not to deprive your body of the fuel it needs while it's still developing.

(three hundred tacked on completely for my milk deliver) and i used to be wasting weight. first you wish to have top protein, no sugars and junk (empty energy don't seem to be doing you any favors), entire grains, and a constant quantity of culmination and greens, three servings of dairy (non fats). relatively frankly we had it established in 6 mini foods and it used to be plenty of meals. (nine servings of protein..) however since i wasn't consuming empty energy however extra nutritious stuff i used to be in a position to additionally shed pounds. so do not reduce your energy, difference your vitamin to a healthful one. *and btw i'm conscious breastfeeding will support you shed pounds, however my husband used to be no longer breast feeding and he used to be additionally no longer doing his workout routines and nonetheless misplaced weight and his energy consumption used to be greater than mine.
