Do your shoes fit right? Or are your feet swelling from water retention?

If the latter, believe it or not drinking more water will make your body let go of the water in your feet. If it's your shoes, get a new pair that will fit right.

Good luck!

You say ankles are red, but is it swollen too? Is just the skin red or is it red and swollen? Is it painful to touch? Can you put pressure on it? Can you use that foot?
If it is red and swollen there could be multiple reasons for it. One of it being that you unknowingly injured it. Or Gout (I dont know how old you are)
Just the skin being red, could be allergic reaction to something. (try antihistamines --- can get over the counter)
Do you have a history of heart disease? It could be due to that
Nephritis (kidney infection) could lead to this too.
Go to a doctor. Dont seek treatment of help here. It could be serious.
