What is the best way to increase my acceleration (sprinting)? I am decently fast but my acceleration is not great. What are some good exercises that will increase my acceleration?

Running stairs, and jumping exercises.

Don't look at me like that. Jumping is all fast-twitch explosion, which will improve your acceleration.

Also, practice starts. Learning to react faster can mean the difference between first and second in a photo finish on a short-distance race.

Try rolling ruins/flying starts like:
Sprint speed 2-3 x 3-6 x 20-40m rolling start
or Start technique 1-2 x 4-6 x 30-40m
or Acceleration 1-2 x 3-4 x 50-80m
or 1-2 x 3-4 x 30m accelerate, 30m decelerate, 30m accelerate.
Flying start 20-30m runs or Standing start runs over 30-40-50 or 60m.
2x 3 x Flying start 60m runs at high speed with rests of only 90s

To increase your exceleration it is important to run 100, 200, and 400 yard repeats. you may to decide to run 12 X 100's all out with 30 seconds rest between each or 8 X 200's all out with 40 seconds rest between each. It is important to run each one fast. Another good workout to improve sprinting is ladders. For example begin with 4 X 100's and gradually increase the yards ran each time and decrease the repetitions. Once you reach 2 X 800's for example slowly decrease the yards ran each time and slowly increase the repetitions once again. It is important to remember that this will help you to become faster but it will not make you an excellent sprinter. It is possible to make a sprinter better but it is very hard to make someone a sprinter when they are not fast to begin with. I am a distance runner and I run into this problem all the time. I am a very fast runner but I could never keep up with the sprinters on my team even if I trained to be a sprinter. Good Luck.

Yeah just focus on starting off the blocks, that is what make or breaks a good run. In the 100m I can normally steal an entire second off my competition but they can normally gain it back by the 75th meter because I don't focus on endurance too much.

You can work on coming out of blocks quicker. your reaction time to the starter. You can also work on your form when you come out of the blocks. You can also work your legs out in the gym for a more explosive start, like doing squats. I hope i helped you out a little bit. good luck
