What would be the medical term be for someone that has very high cardiac contraction force?

"inotropy" describes the amount of force the heart generates with each heart beat.

so i guess you could say "increased inotropic force" or "overactive inotropy" or something like that. i don't know of any medically diagnostic term for what you've described.

It sort of depends on what you are trying to describe:
- ventricular hypertrophy - bigger muscle bulk in heart wall
- forceful/palpable heart beat
- inotropic drugs which strengthen the force of contraction

umm... angina pectoris is a form of ischaemic heart disease, ie. the heart muscle is not getting enough oxygen and the result is chest pain. It would result in a weaker cardiac contraction.

I do believe it would be called Angina Pectoris, but I checked Emedicinehealth to find out for sure
