The one with Dale Jr. and that rapper singing Sweet Home Alabama in a rap version. I don't want any PC freaks coming on here calling me a racist becuase I'm not, so if that's you, don't waste your time, but quite frankly, I'm a huge Lynyrd Skynryd fan and I find it disrespectful that they would take one of the most beloved songs in Southern Rock and add a genre which, lets be honest, doesn't really mix. I don't really care that they are trying to "expand" Nascar to other races, but did they really have to ruin that song?

That didn't make much sense Diana. You don't like rap, but you like the commercial?

I agree... I even recorded that commercial on my DVR after seeing it SEVERAL times to listen closer to check out the song. I think that it's just mixed in w/ a rap version and hopefully there is no "Real Hip-Hop Version" of Sweet Home Alabama. It would be very, very disrespectful to Ronnie Van Zant and the rest of the original Skynard band. I mean, If NASCAR wants to diversify NASCAR then they need to go about it another way. Surely theres ways for them to get African American, and other cultures into NASCAR w/out pissin' off the rest of us right?

I'm in my mid twenty's and i know who they are. I love the original and I like the mixed in version I wish I knew what song it was mixed in. And i hate to tell yall this but there already a rap version by a group called bama. There is nothing better than the original but I'm open to new versions. I don't see how that commercial is going to attract any new nascar fans though. They are really trying to appeal the hip hop community with dale jr. He was in jay-z s video for show me what you got racing Danica Patrick and in the commercials is another rapper TI. I don't think it will work for the most part the hip hop community just doesn't care about nascar. Never has and probably never will. go jr.

It happens to songs all the time. I think it is very well done. I would like the version that is on the commercial. Chevy is trying to reach out to the younger generation. If you ask someone in their early to mid 20's they probably don't even know who Lynyrd Skynyrd is.

No... It's just a commercial.... KFC uses it too. I sing a few Lynyrd Skynyrd songs in a band. So for all I know we might be really hacking it up...LOL.

All day Sunday my 9 yr. old son was walking around going, "Sweet Home Alabama-WHAT-WHAT-WHAT-WHAT"

He's heard the original version 100's of time's.

it particularly is why i bought "warm bypass" on Directv! while a commercial comes on, I purely turn over to between the 4 drivers and save looking on the race. they have cut up monitors and do tutor the commercials, besides the undeniable fact which you would be able to toggle by way of 3 distinctive audios. a million is the conventional broadcast. 2nd is a commentator that purely talks suitable to the motive force your on and third isn't something however the engine noise and in-automobile audio. it particularly is exceedingly extraordinary.

it is very annoying and i am tired of it. I AM A HUGE ROCK FAN AND LYNYRD SKYNYRD FAN! WHY THE HELL SHOULD THEY RUIN IT! Also that other one with Dale Jr.'s car being driven 2MPH. I don't like the fact that sportscenter talks for 15 minutes about one thing, and then talks for 1 minute, not really supporting their facts and just going to something else. this is just like the ruining of the song by KFC where they go AH AH AH AH AH AAAAAAH. They might as well make a song like so:
"UH UH, ALABAMA, UH UH, ALABAMA. UH, THE SKIES ARE BLUE MAN."

Ever since ESPN has done nascar, it's been sooo annoying having so many commercials, not to mention coverage on sportscenter. I watched one sportscenter where they spent 15 minutes talking about new tires or something like that.

it's rediculous and should be illegal to have so much nascar coverage.
