Yes anyone can get anxiety. Stress is a huge factor aswell, an overload can set anxiety off. If it is not stoping you from being able to continue on with you daily life, You can either try to get through it by yourself or go see a doctor and ask what you can do to prevent it from going further, a lot of doctors may try to push meds but I really wouldn't go with them if it's not that bad. I hope this helps a little. Good luck

Yes, by definition of your line of questioning and reasoning, you can get anxiety whereas before you were not.
[ Depression is another animal altogether ]
As to the anxiety, however, here is why:
One has to have been non-anxious first of all to be anxious next of all.
One is dependent on the other for the first to even exist... It is like asking, Can there be day even if night presently exists? The answer again is a resounding Yes... There could not be what we know as day if we knew not before what night is... see?
Yes it can last, that is the dilemma, if not the reality.
But not as would night and day follow each other, for we do not seek to displace or eliminate day and night.
What you will want is to displace the seed of what is posing this dilemma. Go and engage in some activity -- something you really enjoy -- really -- even if you are initially frightened by the idea of it. Don't do it alone; have someone you trust and enjoy to accompany you -- someone who will champion your pursuit. Be creative...that's all...

Yes. Anxiety can be part of another mental disorder such as depression, or you can have an Anxiety Disorder where anxiety is the main symptom. You may want to talk to a doctor. I have been diagnosed with Major Depression and Dysthymic DIsorder (mild chronic depression); often I just have anxiety symptoms without any depression that I can tell. Paxil works on me pretty well for both anxiety and depression.

Social anxiety can cause these feelings, which can also lead to severe depression,
http://www.socialanxietyinstitute.org/ds...
if not you could be suffering from Generalized Anxiety
Disorder..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/general_anx...
There is hope; I've been there, and still am there, it is a long, hard struggle. I recommend
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_b... worked best for me, with mild anti-anxiety meds. I suffered from social anxiety for over 15 years. I've tried individual therapy, and group therapy and studied psychology for 10 years, as a profession, but also with the hope to cure myself.
Depending on your comfort level, you could go to a psychologist that practices CBT and specializes in anxiety disorders, seek a group therapy, or create one. Usually those that do attend the group therapy are a bit more high functioning because as you know, it can be difficult to speak in a group.
Another idea is to see if there are any local research studies being conducted that you could participate in.
The program that finally worked the best for me is this one: http://www.socialanxiety.us/findinghelp.... and I was lucky enough to have a structured behavioral group to go along with it. Sometimes the people that actually attend this program come back home and form groups.
I recommend a mild anti-anxiety med in addition to CBT therapy.
Any questions, let me know ... I can't tell you how much this has improved my life!

Well, I have that problem also. I can't really live a "normal life" without worrying, getting sweaty palms, freaking out a little. I was diagnosed with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). It used to affect my college life in ways that hurt my grades because I couldn't take a test. There are ways to help:
*Yoga or Pilates
*Dance
*Swimming
*Any form of exercise
*Taking a walk outside
*If you are in a class room taking a test, shut your eyes and breath slowly in-slowly out as if you had a candle in from of you . You want to make it as if you don't want to disturb the flame,.
There is also medicine that can help. My anxiety was so frequent that I was put on a pill that calmed me. I took it everytime I saw my exvboyfriend (that UPSET me a great deal, in fact the doctor called these my "Ryan Pills"-which was my ex's name). and when I took a test. You may want to talk to your doctor about it because it CAN affect SO many aspects in your life, you may not see or realize it.
*P.S* The medicine was had (or was called) "ALPRAZOLAM XANAX"

Yes, If it is constant like you said everyday you must go to a Dr. Anxiety has devastating effect on the body if not treated in a timely fashion. Hypertension, high blood pressure... panic attacks. There are medications out there to help out this condition

Definitely. I have an on and off problem with it. It goes away and then creeps up on me again. I try not to take any medication, as I am pregnant. Its best for me to sit down and read the Bible. Sometimes, walking helps or yoga as someone else mentioned. Anything productive and relaxing, even a hot bath. Reading... going out into nature. Just try to get your mind focused on better things, like the above mentioned. The medicine is so addictive too, truly do not like it!! Cast all your cares and anxiety on him, as he cares for you. Yes....I went to a doctor one time b/c i had been having chest pains on and off for quite some time. Even though I never actually felt anxious or stressed, i was told that's what was causing it.
