Why do puppies lift one leg up not when their urinating?

the reason they might do it is follow the leader .If you have older animals they see and learn from them and if they dont well my brothers dog don't I think it's just fat or lazy or both LOL.

they lift up the leg to walk...... other than that pupppies usually do not lift legs ( and they don't lift it up to urinate when they are puppies either)
