Why do Cats communicate by meowwing???

The same reason we communicate through speech. It is the sounds they can make, and they have different pitches to make different meanings

They are trying to mimic humans and their vocal chords are not capable of saying more than meow. The sounds that cats make at each other are usually hisses and growls.
