i'm a felon in the united states. not on probation or parole, with no warrants or anything like that, and i want to get a passport and go to new zealand. is there any way ot get one and go?

You can get a passport from the US Department of State, but it is up to NZ if they want to let you in...

You may have to apply specially.

Well that depends on what your conviction was for, how long you were incarcerated, and how long ago.

Basically you cannot visit NZ if -
you've been convicted & served a sentence of 5 or more years in prison
or
if within the last 10 years you have spent 12 months (or more) in prison

If its a minor like speeding or traffic minor offence then you can get visa but if robbery and assault then you might not able to. So you better apply for passport first and then you see. Spartan

look how about if you go to some new zealand conculate or find out on internet and not waste your time and ask them how can i get passport.well i kid of know this won't help you but try anyway.
