My daughter just doesn't care. She's had her potty for 2 years & sits on it and easily goes potty *when she's told.* She'll ask to go potty in public or at someone else's house, but never at home; no rules are different here, though.

I've tried stickers, books, pull-ups, panties, praise out the wah-zoo, letting her call someone to tell them she's a big girl... EVERYTHING short of candy & bribing her - that just won't happen. The all-day potty party (How To... In 1 Day) hasn't worked any time I try it.

She just doesn't care if she's wet or has "ruined" her clothing. She doesn't care if she has to clean it up herself (as best as she can). She doesn't care if her friends - younger or older - aren't using diapers anymore.

I ask her to go at least every hour, whether she has to or not. She stays dry through naps, long car trips, and over night (sometime that can be 12+ hours). I know she can do this, but she's chosing not to.

I'd appreciate any thoughts short of punishing her.

honestly I would not make big deal out of it, no rewards or punishments, ask if she needs to go hourly. She will probably say no, and an accident is inevitable, just clean her up and say no more about it. I am sure that she will go on her own in no time at all. When she does start using the toilet at home praise is definately in order..reinforce the good, ignore the "not so good" Hope this works for you I use this philosophy daily and not just with potty training with great results.

maybe try to take care of another child her age that is already potty trained and take her potty when the other child goes potty. children like to imitate other children more than they like imitate their own parents. hope this works!

I know you are having with her and could be frustrating. Be patient. Usually her refusal with potty means that she's not ready yet. This will below will help you to resolve potty training.

a cry for attention, because she see you giving her a large amount of your time and attention by focusing on the potty issue...deep down she thinks that if she masters the potty thing at home, she may have less of yuor love and time and attentions.
Its kinda manipulation.
now how to fix it, then there's a good one!
