We do not know when St. Anne died. Much of what we know about her comes from apocryphal literature, chiefly the Protoevangelium of James, which dates back to the second century.

Her relics were taken to Constantinople in 710 a.d.

Anne is my patron saint. :-)

God bless you.

We do not know what Mary's mothers name was. She is identified as Ann in a 2nd century book "The Gospel of James". It was deemed a fraud many years ago by the Catholic church because the author identified himself as James the brother of Jesus who died about 150 years before the book was written. Unfortunately the myth lives on among Catholics. The bottom line-we do not know who Mary's mother was or what her name was.
