Around Thanksgiving, I love to sautee turkey and leftover stuffing in butter then put it on toast with mayo and cranberry sauce.

The rest of the time, I like Reubens (corned beef, 1000 Island or Russian dressing, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese on rye bread, all grilled.) I prefer them on pumpernickel bread.

I also loooove mulletas (moo-yet-ahs), a Yucatecan sandwich I learned about as an exchange student in Mexico. French/Portuguese/Cuban bread, split in half. Add refried beans (refried black beans are best, though pinto is OK) and a white melting cheese (Mozzarella, Manchego, something like that.) Put it in the oven at about 400 until the cheese is slightly browned and the whole thing is hot (watch it.) Put on some salsa--I like tomatillo salsa, but whatever you like.

Mmmmm! And you can make this with stale bread, too.

I love to make grilled cheese sandwiches.
As an extra I slice a tomato and slightly heat it in the pan beside the buttered bread slices then I turn the bread over and toast the inside then put it together first the cheese of my choice then the tomato slices and the top bread slices and let the cheese melt a little.as I turn the whole sandwich over again and heat. a Little prepared bacon can be put in your sandwich also. mmmm good.

My favorite sandwich right now is roast beef [the real stuff, not from the deli] on cibbata with bleu cheese and rocket [or arugula, whatever you want to call it] with some mayonnaise mixed with a little bit of Dijon mustard.

I usually have this sandwich with Cape Code Salt & Vinegar potato chips.

I'm still looking for the perfect drink.

Favorite sandwich - bacon and tomato (lettuce not obligatory). Also like French dip sandwiches or turkey or chook with mustard and mayonnaise. The strangest sandwich I have made was once customarily as a baby - peanut butter, mayonnaise, and grapes. I made up our minds peanut butter and mayonnaise did not style well and in no way did that once more. I was once speaking to a lady the opposite day who mentioned her father adored peanut butter and onion sandwiches.

I'm sure you've heard of the Reuben, but I make mine homemade and its delicious. Get some good corned beef (from deli) tell them to slice it paper thin. It's a little pricey, so if its just for you, get 1/2 lb. Then get maybe a 1/2 lb baby Swiss, sliced. Look for the bakery style rye bread, light or dark, it's sliced a little thinner than whats available in the bread isle. Get some sauerkraut. Make a sauce with 1 cup Miracle Whip, couple of TBLS. chili sauce, and mince some green pepper, add however much,(gp) you like, mix well. Grab a skillet, spread one side of rye bread with butter, place butter side down, with a spoon spread sauce mix on topside, then layer with corned beef, Swiss, more corned beef, more Swiss, then take well drained sauerkraut and spread as last layer, add more sauce on sauerkraut, butter another slice of rye, with buttered side up, place on sandwich, grill like you would a grilled cheese, heat no higher than medium, carefully turning occasionally, so it heats thoroughly, and cheese melts and everything is hot inside. I let mine sit for a few minutes and carefully slice in half. It's very good! If you like these ingredients.

Toasted Proscuitto and Cheese Sandwich

2 slices sourdough bread
2 slices proscuitto
1/4 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese (white is best but any will do)
1/4 C. olive tapenade
Butter

Spread olive tapenade on 1 slice of the bread. Place proscuitto and cheese on top. Top with remaining slice of bread. Butter both sides of bread. Toast in a hot pan until cheese has melted and bread is golden brown and crispy.

Delicious.

Roast beef on pumpernickle with lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomato and cucumbers, mayo only on the tomato side of the sandwich. And a pickle. It's not the same without the pickle.

Wow, what a cool thing to love : )I used to love sloppy joes...(I went vegetarian and haven't found a good meat alternative yet.) At night I like to eat peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwiches on toasted bread...oohh and grilled peanut butter and grape jam. Oh yeah, and sliced tomato on white bread with mayo salt and pepper....Yum. Or fresh cucumber and cream cheese on white bread. I think I'm hungry.
