You should try to wright him a letter, about how it hurts you. That way he can't interrupt what you are saying and you can really say how you really feel. He's prob. not talking to you,b/c he knows he has a problem, and he's embarrassed. My mom is a recovering alcoholic and I know where you are coming from. Good Luck!

If what you said was the truth, dont worry about it. He will either get over it , or not. nothing more you can do, MY mother is an alcoholic and we wll never see eye to eye on that subject. If you are lucky you can have a relationship with him with other subjects, if not, let him melt in his alcohol till he faces it. sorry that is all you can do.

Join ACOA, Adult children of alcoholics. Talk your feelings out with those that have been there and learn ways to cope with it and maybe help you dad too.

Try and talk to him. Tell him you are sorry for making him mad. Then try to make him understand how you feel when he is drinking. Hope it all works out for you.

maybe you should talk to him privatly and start like this:I know that you are not going to talk to me, but I just want you to know how I feel. Then you should say all your feelings to him.
