my ex-gf of 3 years broke it off with me a little over a month ago for another guy. I stopped all communication from her. a week ago she sent me 2 txt msgs 1. saying hi 2. saying i wish i could talk to you once atleast.

I didn't respond at all. A couple days ago at the bars she confronted a lady friend of mine and said to her since i am not talking to her if she could ask me if their is anything i wanted back from her like a tiffanys necklace i bought her, and asked about me etc...

I accepted the breakup, and now she is kind enough to return a $600 necklace? The way she broke up with me was horrible, and she made no attempt to let me down easy.

What is going on here?...

Sounds like she was trying to make your new friend jealous. She was just being mean. I don't think that she means to give you the necklace back. But if you want to call her bluff then tell her that you want the necklace back and if and when she gives it to you just take it, say "thank you", and walk away and go on with your own life without her. I wouldn't be giving a $600 necklace to someone unless she is your wife!!!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!

She wants her "cake and eat it too". You are the back-up in case new guy does not work out.

You are better off without her back in your life. I did this many times with girls until I learned that they were like fish in the sea, lots of them. Practice catch and release.

Do not accept the necklace back. Besides, what are you doing giving her a $600 necklace? Did she ever give you a $600 gift. I doubt it.

well she must be a little bit of a jerk so she wants to make sure she has nothing that reminds her of you so when her new guy comes around she doesn't have to explain why she has that she probably is liek SCREWWW HIM which is very rude you derserve better so dont let it get you down there are hotter sexier nicer should i go on girls out there so forget about her an find a hotter sexier girl

That doesn't sound very crazy. I was expecting something worse. I think she just feels bad about things and is trying to make it up to you. It doesn't sound like she's trying to get you back. Maybe just as a friend.

Maybe just maybe
she regrets what she did and since she cant go back and change It she is trying to make up for it and paying back her debt.

she is guilty for breaking up and is trying to make it look like your fault in front of any ladies you may happen to be with. so you need to tell her to cut the crap and maybe you can be friends if its just friends you need to date other people or your life will be boring.

she probably realizes that she made a mistake and now she want's you back.she might be feeling a bit lonely too.but that is up to you to talk to her or continue ignoring her phone calls.if you are to hurt i would'nt if i were you.moved on and find you someone else, she'll stop.i hope.

sounds like an attention whore. if she wants to give back the stuff, let her. but i wouldn't bring her back, sounds like trouble down the road, maybe bipolar or something.
