Im 18 years old and looking for a fun place where i can volunteer preferably with youth but i wont mind working with young kids ,somewhere that will also benefit me (for example where i can get free stuff or meet great people)
I live in New York (Manhattan or Brooklyn)
PLZ no Libraries (too boring).

I would recommend that you contact your local volunteer center. They can provide all sorts of fun one-time or short-term volunteer activities that match your interest and meet real community needs as well.
Through my volunteer center, I lead a fun project at our local Natural History Museum in which we help enhance visitor experience. We get free admission into the museum for the day and it's a lot of fun to work with the teen group that I lead. I also work at the local children's shelter on various projects with the kids.

Hello. Well, couple places you could volunteer is at your school to do community service in your school , anything. The best thing is volunteer at your church. It's great to do that , plus you draw closer to God, and you learn a lot. You can volunteer at the kindergarten or in elementary school. You could say i want to volunteer , what do you have for me to do?

schools need tutors, either for children or adults. the museums need docents (tour guides). hospitals need people. you could help with newborns or children. I work in a library and am never bored. I read to kids and do crafts with them. I help adults with the computer and internet.

animal shelters always need volunteers, as do homes for the elderly and homes for disabled children
