To all the compact camera owners, just give me an opinion since I'm looking for a small digital camera that I can carry anywhere. What's the best digital camera in terms of low price and in low-light situation?

I would go for the Canon A550

* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support

I agree with Vintage. :)
I guess I've recommended this camera too many times.

There are many good compact cameras out there. But when it comes to ones that are good in low light, the Fuji F20/F30/F31fd stand 2-3 stops better than the best compact Canon out there. I'd probably put the Canon SD700IS (or similar models) as the second best. it's got a usable ISO400 and Image Stabilization that the Fuji doesn't have. the Fuji's have a clean ISO400, a good ISO800 and a very usable ISO1600.

the F20 is a steal at $150.

Oh- you won't find any decent reviews on the F20, they're all on the F30... but the image quality is identical. Same lens, electronics and sensor.

As Morey000 would probably say ( who's very knowledgeable in cameras) check out the Fugi F20.
