Hi Christiangirl,
There is nothing logical about a belief system that has no answers. If you look at most atheists answers, they are empty. They mainly judge and criticize, and treat christians rudely. Christians on the other hand love and obey something that is documentable (Jesus), which they don't like because He gives us a history and a beginning. By their own accounts, they are waiting for science to prove something that doesn't exist. They would rather believe in nothing than believe in the completeness of the bible. At least we know where we came from,as apposed to them waiting to see how they got here. Now I ask you, which is more logical?

logic? If some thing is created, logic says there's a writer. The regulation of Causalities says that each effect has a reason. it particularly is the inspiration of technological know-how. and it particularly is Logical. the super Bang has almost anyone with a Logical innovations on board. That mentioned in case you bypass all the till now to the 2nd earlier the super bang. the final reason of each little thing that follows is Logically, What? I logicaly end that "some thing that can exist outdoors of Time" brought about it. What "that" is desires greater logical debate than we've area for. You look into it and come to a decision. in spite of the shown fact that, Atheism is a decision that takes "faith" not logic. You wish that there is not any God. a minimum of not a Christian God. with the aid of fact IF there is. And IF we've a soul. Then we've a effect. a minimum of that's what logic tells me.

Atheism is a position of logic and evidence, not the position of some man.
Since it is not possible to prove a negative, it is not incumbent on atheists to prove Gods do not exist, in the same way it would not be incumbent on you to disprove the existence of Zeus, Thor or The Flying Spaghetti Monster, yet claim the same.
When one makes a positive claim, such as God exists, one has to prove it. You cannot say x is true because there is no proof x is false, because then everything imaginable becomes possible i.e.The Flying Spaghetti Monster. In the absence of evidence, atheism does not even entertain the idea there might be a God, the question does not arise.

When all is said and done and all the clever and not-so-clever ruses are stripped away, religion comes down to one thing: faith. A religious person believes because he has faith, not because logic leads him to believe. It is not a rational thing; it is emotional. Many religious people flatly admit that; others try to play games.
Atheism doesn't rely on faith or blind belief.
It's that simple.
And an old book is not necessarily an historically accurate book. The Epic of Gilgamesh is a very old book, but few people believe accept it as the foundation upon which they base their lives.

I'll agree that the Bible is historical in the sense that it's been around for a long, long time. But that's true of the epic of Gilgamesh, the Illiad, and the Odyssey, too. I have a lot of doubts about whether it's historically accurate.
And my atheism is based on those doubts, not on someone else's opinions.

"Some man"? I'm not sure what you mean by that. We don't follow some man. We don't "follow" anyone.
If you're referring to Darwin, atheists do not "follow" Darwin. Darwin is the father of the theory of evolution, which is a scientific theory that most atheists believe, but the theory of evolution and atheism are not the same thing.

What are you talking about? First off the bible isn't a historical maybe a cultural one, but that is all. We don't follow man's opinions we follow science, and we also scrutinize science. We test theories we don't just guess they are true.

The problem there is that logic and spirituality don't often go to well together, and that is a shot at neither. When you believe anything based on Faith you are basically denying logic, because Faith doesn't require proof, whereas logic does.

Atheism isn't "some man's opinion"... it's a lack of belief in the existence of gods, and it's the only logical conclusion.
