I majored in Biochemistry and most everyone had a bachelors degree in Biology or Anatomical Science. You don't have to have a degree in science, but I believe it helps. If you know what school you want to go to, they will give you a list of pre-reqs that you need to have before applying, IU's website is . The application process takes about a year. You need to take the DAT before that, which has science section, math section, reading comp section and a PAT. The PAT is a section where it tests your ability to take 2 dimensional objects and visualize it 3-D. The average G.P.A. in my class was 3.6. So be sure to do well in biological sciences. Good Luck, It is a really rewarding profession.
