I had a friend who did this and he gave the wrong impression. I think he tries too hard to find somebody but he claims he is not interested in a serious relationship.

Maybe he's lying about the relationship thing. I'd say he is a flop with chicks and just doesn't know how to get anyone to like him. Maybe you know someone who could ask him out?

guys who try to hard have low self-esteem or do not have something to offer. ( like good looks, money, nice car, a house, good job, a career) I am now well off so more girls chase after me. Before when i did not have much to offer then trying to impress is all i had.

im sorry but this is just the truth. guys that try to hard shows one of a few things. its either one he likes them alot and wants to be with them (serious relationship) or 2 he is desperate. . but yeah... he should do that. girls dont like guys that are desperate, you should tell him that to save him some face.

He's lonely and feel desperate...if he didn't try "that" hard he might draw people to him...women smell desperation and that makes them run..maybe he should read something like the Rules to give him a perspective of the women point of view...or get a dating coach.

He's afraid to let people in but wants to be in a relationship so bad. It's contradictory, but it's him. Actually, he may be the type of guy that just wants sex and thinks that sex is gonna satiate him but it never will. I don't know the guy.

He just wants sex. Men want sex more than they want a relationship, so this isn't that odd. He doesn't want a gf, he wants booty and he thinks this girl is hot. Therefor, he tries to impress her to, shocker, get her into bed.

He is desperate, the only question is about what?
Is he desperate for a girl friend, in which case you should run away and fast. Or is he desperate for sex, in which case you just say yes or no.
Careful on this one, the first case is dangerous.

Guys, like myself, go to extremes to impress a girl because they want the girl to like them. We think that we have to change ourselves to get another girl to like us. We dont realize that all we have to do is be ourselves and hopefully she will like us.
