ok so i've been dating this guy for a while and we are really close. we're best friends and just perfect for each other.........at least that's what we think. our friends hate that we are dating. i've asked them why and they say it's because he's not good enough for me. we have tried to take breaks and stop seeing each other but we always seem to be unhappy and end up getting back together. i really really like him. i try asking my friends why they din't like him but i don't ever really get an answer. help???? what do i do??? it matters so much to me what my friends think but i love my boyfriend because he makes me happy and is my best friend.
**note how i said that i love him not that i'm "in love" with him. im too young for that.

it shouldnt matter what your friends think... but there are maybe two reasons why. for one maybe love is blind.. and you dont see how much of a scum bag he realy is..(not saying that he is one) i was like that and my friends told me to stay away but i got mad from them saying so the just left it alone... years later i realized it... or maybe your friends want him to them selves.. thats why they wont tell you.. they are jealous cause he is hott.. or they are jealous cause your happy with a guy and they cant find a guy or they dont like there... who knows.. but i sugest to live for the moment.. if your happy stay happy.. maybe you wont like him later.. but at least your happy now and that realy what matters.. tell your friends.. they should be happy for you if they are true friends.. and stop putting your happyness down.. good luck

Well keep on dating him. But sit down with one of your friends and ask her what's really bothering her. Put do it privately. Ask her that there must ne a better reason. I f the answer is the same hen tell her how you feel about him Tell her a llo the good things and ask her how is he not good enough for you. Although maybe he's just using you. Your friends may know something that you don't and theyt don't want to tell you because they're afraid to hurt you feelings. Maybe they heard him say something bad about you. But it could also be that one of your friends are jealous and she's trying to break you two up. But don't say that. If you do Well just don't you don't want to break the last calm nerve she has.

My friends got like that because I was spending all my time with her, and they felt abandoned. Now one of my other friends has stopped talking to me and all the rest of us. He spends all his time with Courtney, and then they broke, so we thought he would aknowledge us, but NOW it Catherine! You should definitly go out with her, just try top hang with them a lot, too. I guess that could possibly be the reason, but I'm not sure.

There comes a time when you need to tell everyone to mind their own. If your happy then that's all that matters, if they don't like seeing you happy maybe you should reconsider your friendship with them
