I'm on Spring Break, and I should be studying. I've got a lot of papers to write. But I find myself wasting all my days on here. How can I stop this?!

Plan your day and write it down. 08:00 - 09:00 waste time on Y!A. 09:00 - 12:00 write papers. 12:00 - 14:00 waste some more time on Y!A etc. :-) Having a definite plan will help you stick to it. Also you need to 'project manage' your work - set dates when things have to be completed, even break down individual projects into research, rough writing, completing each section etc. It sounds naff but it really helps get you organised and keeps you on track.

Let me know how you get on :-)

Decide what's important in the big scheme of things...and then focus. This is a great place to spend a little time playing, but don't waste too much time. Just set yourself a limit. No need to cut it out completely, just don't over do it.

AS A FIRST STEP we should stop wasting so many hours in cyberspace, in order to attend our studying and other responsibilities we have to take care of. This is inclusive of spending time on Yahoo!Answers. lol. I have calculated and found I spend more than 6-10 hours daily on an average, with out attending other important jobs as it has become an addiction. It is very difficult to come out of this addiction. Though we are getting addicted we also certainly gain knowledge and in my opinion we should somwhat curtail our activity on this form and get time to attend other phylosophical and spiritual studies. . Do you agree with me ?-

Have someone you trust reset the password access for Window, someone who's around enough to let you get on to write a paper or do other necessary business on the computer. . I think I'm going to be reduced to this pretty soon.

Figure how long your break is for, and divide up your papers to write per day, any extra time left per day is for good work done, spend it on here or on something else.

I am sixty years old and retired, I have lived and learned that nothing is a waste unless we value it. Get your own education so you too can add value to your own and other peoples life.
