Hi... I already asked another question, but this one will be more detailed. I am planning a wedding for Feb. 2008 anywhere on a nice beach resort in Florida. My budget is $60 per plate for about 100 people. Where do I start? I'm having a difficult time finding a good place for my reception. Any ideas?

You have an amazing budget. Seriously. You have plenty of time (more than 11 months), so calm down first of all!! lol

After you breath and have a drink, come back to the computer and search that area for your "dream" location. I have my reception at Radisson beach resort in Fort Walton Beach and I think it was only like $30/plate. I have nearly 100 guests and was able to use the ballroom and have a full staff at my service. It was great.

GOOD LUCK! And CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!!!

Anything you book must be done NOW because many places book 1-2 years in advance whether it's a park near a beach or banquet hall.

Your wedding is screaming "BEACH!" Sand, Sun and Clam Bake...

Check out the beach parks and contact the parks and recreation department and see what needs to be done. Someone mentioned culinary school...Terrific Idea!

You should find a culanary school in the area. They can cater your party for next to nothing if not free and then you can have a really nice place for cheap

How about Clearwater Beach?

at that price? cook it yourself. good luck on finding a nice resort. i would assume all the good places are booked. how about a state park. just remember the time of year your doing this event. you have speed weeks. daytona bike week. families on vacations. tough time of year down here.
