A couple of months ago I started getting charlie horses in my foot every couple of days. In the past week or so it has increased to several times a day. It is sooooo painful and I don't know how to stop them. I think it's probably really dangerous too when my right foot cramps up while I'm driving.. anyone else have them and know what causes them/what you do to stop them?? thanks ahead of time =)

Normally they are caused by a shortage of potassium or sodium in your body. They'll usually hit the calves first. So try eating a banana or drink some gatorade. That usually solves it immediately. Best of luck to you.

If the banana doesn't work (I was gonna suggest the same thing !) I would suggest going to the doctor and making sure it isn't plantar faciitis. I am not sure if I spelled that right, but here is a link or two I found on it. I had that and the pain was in the arch to heel area although it can also be in the heel and back of the ankle.
