When I got on of my moles removed, they told me it would pinch a little, but it didn't hurt at all. They used an needle to numb the area and then scraped the mole off. It took about 5 minutes...very fast and easy. Of course they suspected my mole might be cancerous(it wasn't), so they may have done it differently than how they remove normal moles. Hope this helps.

It depends on the location of the mole and what kind it is. I've had two taken off. Usually the first thing they do is give you a small injection in the area to numb it, then with the one that was on my chest, (about right where a necklace would land) they used a tool called a "punch biopsy" and I didn't feel a thing.
With one on my lower rib cage, after numbing the area the Dr. cauterized it (burnt it off), but that was back in 1982.
Now they like to send most off to the lab to be biopsied.

Good Luck!

If done under local anesthetic, it does not hurt at all, even after the effect of the anesthetic wears out. I would be more concerned by scars left by removing those moles. Some parts of the body (arms, torso) scar more than others (face, neck, shoulders).

I've had about 20 moles removed from my body. Mine was done by frying them off. It didn't hurt much, felt like static electricity really. But if you have ones that pops out more then that might hurt a little more. I hope this information helps you.
