Sleep and nutrition are very important to growth and body strength. The more sleep you can get the better. Whilst it is true that final 'maximum' height is genetic.

Achieving this maximum growth however, is dependent on your body resting and repairing whilst you sleep. Therefore, just like a plant that's given bad conditions it will grow to its best. But it won't achieve the strength or the size of the same seed in good conditions. Everybody needs different amounts of sleep and you know when your tired. Sleep when your tired. Not at the end of this level, or, when the programme or DVD ends.

BEWARE: Sleep patterns form before you know it and when the daily 9 to 5 starts you will find them harder than Cigarettes to give up! Mental agility suffers most from tiredness!

Im not certain but i would think that going to bed earlier ( or just getting more sleep ) would increase your chances of gaining height more quickly (although i dont think it will make much difference) this is because when you sleep your energy is not beig used for thing like moving about, talking and brain power. this gives it the chance to concentrate on growth and reparing cells.

don't change your life to try to gain height, if you are meant to be short you will never be tall and you have to accept yourself for who you are. however do try to get about 8 hours sleep a night regularly.

also its very likely that you havent grown to your full height yet anyway as you are 14/15.

hope ive helped a bit xx

Absolutly - it's critical - as is your diet. Genes deffinatly help but if your body is lacking in the raw materials (diet - vitamins, minerals proteins etc) and the environment -(your body goes into repair and growth mode when you are asleep) then you can't expect to get good progress.

It's been pretty conclusivly established that processed foods with enumbers and additives are a factor in hyperactive behavior and poor attention / disruptive behavior. Yeah it's fun to stay up till 2 or 3 am -but there has to be a trade off - and your body is the thing that suffers..........so sh*te in equals sh*te out - and proper sleep equals proper development.

hope that helps

for anything to happen in life there needs to be energy which you will lack if you don't go to sleep however don't expect drastic results becuase you cannot do both to compare the effects, look at it this way there will be no negatives for going to sleep at 11 but 1-2 might have a negative effect

The amount of sleep you get cannot remotely affect your height. This has already been genetically determined. Only poor nutrition or disease can lower it and only a hormone defect called gigantism of hyper-pituitary syndrome can raise it!
