I was wonderin what cluster head aches are?

See for about 3 or 4 weeks ive been getting bad head aches an its really starting to scare me cause they are not like normal headaches. Sometimes they are just on one side of my head or one spot??? Does this should like them?

Sounds like it could be. I used to have what my Dr. called cluster migraines. I would wake up at about 2:00 am feeling like someone had rammed a hot poker up my nose and into my brain. This was worse on weekends when my hours of rest and sleep differed from weekdays. They started suddenly, out of the blue and ended the same way. I seldom have those severe headaches any more. I do know that clusters are normally confined to one side of the head, like you drew a line down the middle of your head and the pain did not cross it. I tried all kinds of otc and prescription meds and found that Excedrin worked as well as anything else. Don't waste your money on the name brand though. Buy the generic brand at Walmart for twice as many pills for the same price.

I've also been diagnosed w/cluster headaches, which happen over and over during a certain amount of time (in a "cluster"). But the cluster headaches feel like they're inside my brain, whereas migraines feel like they're on the outside of my brain, right behind my sinuses or eyes or right under my skull.

Plus, cluster headaches don't last as long as migraines (in my case, anyway), but the pain is much more intense.

So they both suck.

Get them checked out! I've heard that taking a nip of oxygen from a tank will cure a cluster headache, and some cluster headache sufferers keep a tank so they can take a hit of it when they get one.

I took some meds, they helped some.
