I've heard allot of bad things about Vista. I just bought an HP dv6255ca and am waiting for it to arrive. It comes with Microsoft® Windows™ Vista™ Premium installed.Does Vista premium have allot or any problems ?

The system is just not that great to make people want it. there are a lot of issues with devices not working with it and programs. It is also a memory shark, so i hope that laptop isn't the mimimum requirements of vista. but xp was this way to , not as bad but still buggy, just give it some time.

I have not tried the retail version of Vista, but I did go through many Betas and RCs through the CTP program. Vista generally is a huge improvement over XP in terms of security, usability, and stability.

However, the popups asking you for permission to do lots of things are annoying. Also, the 3D stuff may take quite a lot of resources.

yes, alot . I'm a computer expert and I do not recomend it. Mac is way easier to use can run windows and does not suffer viruses. also, just a fun fact Windows 98SE was the best OS ever made.

If it has 1GB ram and a nice sized HD it'll run fine. It's basically XP with a new paint job and kernel upgrades. It's 7.6/10 , good-great!

i have been using Vista Ultimate and the only problems i have had are compatibility

no. i have it. its fine, but sometimes certain software isn't compatable.
