If you have visited other Country's, what is your Choice of a Country to live in for the most Freedom?
I am not a world-wide traveler. I have to depend on media for most info. First hand info is very good to know, this site is world wide I am told. This "freedom" question covers Religion, Spirituality and any others.
Thank you very much.

Freedom is one third of the seal that represents the vision of America. The Vision is Freedom, Justice and The Equality of Citizenship that makes up the whole vision of America. However,
Freedom without Justice is anarchy, Justice without Freedom is a Dictatorship but Freedom and Justice without the Equality of Citizenship is chaos. Nothing makes sense anymore for the people on or near the bottom because of a lack of Equality of Citizenship.
The problems that now riddle America are a product of unequal rights caused by an unabridged inequality of opportunity. When the rich just keep get richer while the bottom three quarters of the population are getting poorer, the rights of the rich are growing while the rights of the poorer are shrinking.
The result is anything but Freedom for everyone. Money buys freedom in America today.
Just look at the fact that the whealthy do not have to share in the fighting and dying in Iraq because the whealthy don't need a job and benefits like health care, compensation or a pension.
Freedom is not everything. It is not a right to be free, if you are dead.
Canada or Peru for that matter for example have advantages over the United States. A much smaller percentage of people are murdered each year in those two Countries combined compared to the United States.

Well back when America was founded, we were the only country that could do what we want with only the restriction of common sence. Today they still say America has the most freedom, but in other parts of the world, the laws are almost identical except for politics. In England for example, they can do almost anything, as long as it does not promote violence. In America though, we have the constitution to solidify the laws. The reason some people will say other countries are more free is because in america, some people will take advantage of the freedom.

I dont know. The best thing I could think of is United States. But their freedom is exagerated. I have been to many other countries with Democracy and "democracy" (really dictatorship) and the US is the best I can find now. But of the ones I havent travelled to, I would say some European countries, because of their liberal views and too much freedom. But the US is a reasonable mixture.

I would suggest Australia, if you have not already been here, or do not live here at all, we are one of the most technological countries in the world, were the first country to discover an all-natural resource so we won't depend on coal and oil, and will start utilising that in the near future, we have wonderful forests and woodlands, the largest barrier reef, the largest and second largest rock formation in the world, our beaches are equal match to those in Hawaii, although not our surf... plus other things which escape me right now

Guess what - most the rest of the world is free. They had freedom thousands of years before america even existed. They even have free elections,,,and if America didn't like who is voted in they would call you a "communist2 - and pay for juntas to take over the country and slaugher everyone not in a bizarre looking uniform.

Freedom is just rhetoric for lazairre fairre capitalism and most people are absolutely sick of this masturbation of the english language..

I am a world traveler and I choose the US
I've spent time in Canada, Scotland, England, Ireland, Norway, Nigeria, and Guatemala.
Not just for the sake of freedom, but everything else too....like running water and lights that work, and food that tastes good.
(running water may not seem special but try taking your shower each day with a bucket of water.....cold water at that.)

so, this is a religious question because??? a lot of countries have freedom of religion but society tends to inflict its own sort of laws on religion. In the US it seems that not having a religion is frowned upon nowadays since people wont leave me alone about it. where as in england most of the population is not religious so i thinki would be happier there in that respect. the main reason why i stay is because of taxes

I have seen ratings of political freedom and the country which usually is number One is the Netherlands. The US usually falls between 15 and 20 mainly because of the power of the IRS.

I'm gonna live in Denmark with my fiance. I've been to a lot of countries, but I like Denmark the best. They have wonderful healthcare and all sorts of freedoms. They're kinda like England in that they have royalty but get to vote, and they have way more freedoms when it comes to choices about religion or abortion or gay marriage.

I would def say the US. I have been to Canada and honestly, it is white trash. You NEVER see huge wealthy homes in Canada like you do in the suburbs of the US. everyone is lower middle class at best. you can only get so wealthy there before the big gov't puts the clamp down on you and steals your wallet. sales tax is 15% there, can you believe that??? heck, that was a few years back it could be even higher now. no thank you, i'll stay in my comfy suburbs and ride into the city in my big bad american suv.
