If she thinks she will lose you, she may just say that to keep holding on to you. There is an age old saying, "if you love someone, let them go, and if they are supposed to be with they will come back". Never force a relationship, resentment will build and ruin your long years of friendship. Evaluate it from a long term perspective - is she the one you want to spend your life with? Is she someone you could be with for a long time? If your friendship is stronger than the romantic feelings, let her know that you two have been through thick and thin, and she needs to work out some of her feelings without throwing it into your lap, and ultimately blame you if it doesn't work out, and then your friendship is history. Is it worth blowing your friendship now or is it better to wait and see if you develop romantic feelings toward her later on - like in a year or so. Step back and wait, don't ever hurry, you can never undo what you do today, and the consequences are always going to follow. Hope that helps.

Well, if you guys end up breaking up; its likely u'll go back to being best friends. I did the same thing; and then we broke up and she made out with my best friend, but we are still really good friends somehow. I think you should go for it; You guys should be able to click a lot easier. on the other hand; a lot of the fun for me neways comes from learning about the person, if u guys are able to have really easy fun with each other then i think u should go for it; but if ur nervous around each other now; u shouldnt.

Sounds a little bit like she "wants her cake and eat it too." If you really care a lot for her, before you make any decisions about you and her, tell her in no uncertain terms that you won't tolerate her being with you a while, then going back to her ex for a while. If she cares for you, tell her that the choice she makes is final; either you or the ex boyfriend.

Best friends make the best boyfriend/girlfriends. I think you have a perfect opportunity here. You both like each other, you know each other well, what better circumstances can you ask for? I'd love a girl that I've liked for a while to tell me that she likes me.
Have fun.

I know your hormones are raging, but chill out! You have plenty of time for dating when marriage is actually an option. Until then, find some other outlet for your male "energy" so that you won't screw up your life by sleeping around and becoming a dad at 16 or getting genital herpes.

She sounds like a drama queen that likes to create conflict.
I wouldn't even want to be friends with someone like that, but if you do, then tell her that you are fine with just being friends and then find yourself someone who actually likes you and doesn't want to play with your feelings!
