i heard that it was actually in the spring, but i dunno. i do know that to help the pagans accept christianity they said it was on winter solstice--which is when their god was 'born'.

Jesus was born "Once upon a time" no-one has any more information than that, not even the place for certain...that alone should tell you he is fictional like all the other once-upon-a-timers, someone of such importance that nobody even bothered to mention his birth date...it's not very likely if he was real.
All previous aside you can be sure Jesus was not born on Christmas Day so the answer to you question is... it's not true at all.

1. 'How true'? It's either true or not. There are no degrees.
2. There was no Christmas Day when Jesus was born, the holiday is BASED on his birth.
3. There is no evidence that he was born on December 25. It was late fall/early winter. That's all they seem to be able to figure.

Jesus was not born on christmas day. The early church leaders decided to celebrate christmas during the Pagan Winter Soltice to inject themselves and beliefs into another religios groups celebration. All to try to convert as many "followers" as possible.

Im asking my self the same question. In some parts of Europe and christians in the Middle East celebrate it in early January while In US its December 25. Someone has got to be misinformed or lying. But anyways, there are alot of people who dont celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus. They see it as a day of a chubby man going down your chimeny to give little kids presents.

According to Bible chronology, Jesus was born in October, 2bc.
He was born 6 months after John the Baptist.

We'll the thing is that there is no scripture on the exact day Christ was born. We just celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas day. The bible does say where and how he was born, but then again does it really matter when we celebrate his birth.

People perceive him to be born on christmas, but I actually heard that he may have been born in late November, but in actuality, no one really knows when Jesus was actually born.

Christmas day is the day we choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We can't be sure when exactly he was born, but theologists and anthropologists speculate it was sometime in the spring.

I would not push 12/25 as scripture for that; but that time of year does not bother me after all; Day of atonement +15-16 (6+9or10) Jewish months is a ballpark time frame.

During the Summer the Sheppard's keep the Sheep in the FIELDS!
During the Winter, it is TOO COLD TO LEAVE THEM OUTSIDE!
What conclusion can you draw from that?
Thanks, RR
