I've signed it for you......and all the British public out there who want to feel safe in their own country.
I have also sent it to friends and family for them to sign as well. Paperwork should not be made a predominant part of a police officers job. It seems to be a government craze at the moment to fill out countless pieces of paper........
BRING BACK MORE VISIBLE POLICING TO THE STREETS!!!!

Have signed the petition and agree that the police need all the support possible to do what is a difficult and at times dangerous job.
I'm not an angel and nor is my son who had a rebellious phase during his early teens, thankfully he's calmed down now. However I can honestly say during that time the police always behaved in a polite and sympathetic manner.
Hope you get a good response as you deserve it.Good Luck!

I have signed and must agree that the only time a police officer is seen now is either when trying to sort out a minor bump, when they appear with all the equipment for a full investigation of a fatal crash and clog up the system with paperwork, or in a car going somewhere at great speed, probably to get tea. We used to have a policeman on the street regularly but no more. I think that the present Labour dictatorship is merely driving a wedge between the public and the police for its own purposes, or that of Brussels.

I have no faith whatsoever in the British police,I will not sign this petition,I am of the opinion that the majority of police officers are lazy and are just time servers up to early retirement on a far better deal than the people they are supposed to protect

I worked in a civilian capacity for the police and I saw first hand how much precious time was spent on needless paperwork. Our police need our support, they do a great job in trying to bring criminals to court and get them convicted. Many many times the general public blame the police for 'letting off' criminals. What the public fail to realise is that it is often the C.P.S (Crown Prosecution Service) that has the last say in whether or not a case will eventually get to court. The police have their hands tied every step of the way. They are absolutely banging their heads against a brick wall. The police like nothing better than to be allowed to get criminals into court and for the magistrates' and judges to give a just penalty for the guilty.

The snag is though, is that the police can't do anything. I mean they arrest someone, give them a criminal record and all that, and then the person goes to court and gets let off. Or human rights comes in and the victim gets the blame... I'm all for police, but there needs to be a whole new system sort out.

the police in this country are shocking i dont blame them though. As normal its the cretins in charge, ie sir ian blair an co, somebody needs to go through this lot with a fine tooth comb and rid it of its corrupt cancer only then will the public have any confidence in it

Absolutely, I support the police in my own way by being a special constable,I have seen from the inside the amount of red tape, targets and the like getting in the way of real policing. The political correctness is ridiculous.
