I realized I have already asked this but I believe I need to go more into details! I am 19, 5'2'' and weight about 150 to 155. I understand I am completely over weight.I have tried things already and it seemed the best one was counting calories but I am at college now and most college students are broke! I gained 30 pounds in less than a year because my sport years were over.
I dont think I am going a bad job at what I am doing, but I dont understand why I am not loosing weight. For breakfast in the mornings i eat total whole grain cereal or bannans and oranges. I only drink water but with my cereal I drink 2% milk! for lunch and supper I eat some sort of grilled chicken and vegtables like green beans, corn, peas, and carrots. and these are only lil servings like maybe a half a cup. I drink water and V8 Fusion. and I eat like a little fruit after those too.
I have already joined a gym and go there mon-thurs. for atleast an hour each day. PLease someone help!

I lost weight by doing the "4-4-2-4" plan. This means that each day, I eat about 4 servings of carbs, a combo of fruits and veggies that adds up to 4 servings, 2 servings of protein, and 3 or 4 servings of dairy. Also, the daily exercise helps!! (I learned this in health class). The V8 fusion is pretty good stuff, but if I remember correctly, it's really high in sugar. I'm really conscious of carbs and the amount of sugar in foods. If you're eating healthy and exercising, and still not losing weight, you should get a check up with a doctor. There are other things that keep you from losing weight like under active thyroid.

get someone else to do all the hard work for you, I did and the results were great. if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I just paid the postage and handling, but for what I got it was well worth it. You just to go to myhealthabc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

Sounds like you're actually undereating, believe it or not you have to eat more and drink a lot more water. I'm 10 lbs over my ideal weight and I"m eating 1500 calories a day (which is low)! This includes very little fruit and sugar and dairy, I eat alot of protein, and healthy carbs (think oatmeal/sweet potatoes/ veggies/grain bread) and healthy fats--a few nuts/ peanut butter, olive oil, etc. As I lose more weight I'll add a little more healthy snacks.

Start off with adding more protein for breakfast --think cottage cheese/ protein shakes/ or egg whites with ezkiel bread. Eat every two to three hours and keep track of your calories I use fitday.com Good luck

ok, i have been there too! @ my heaviest i was 158 lbs & 5 ft...here's the thing, go to the gym & get plenty of cardio-- (cardio burns fat; strength training builds muscle)-- start @ lets say 20 min then work your way up--- the machines that really make you burn calories are the pre-core, elliptical, and the arc-trainer (it's like the tony little gazzelle)---but REMEMBER to do things you like--- walking, swimming whatever....you also need to strength train-- no you will not bulk up like Hulk Hogan-- you just need to keep your muscles strong so that when you do lose the weight-- you have excess skin....what i have been doing is sort of like the South Beach diet-- just cut back on the carbs a little (3 small servings a day) and plenty of meat/veggies... the weight will not come off overnight--- it has taken me awile to lose 20+ lbs-- but it is a healthy way.... don't use diet pills-- they don't work, if you must drink soda (do only diet/diet caffeine free) plenty of water, and get involved-- check into local YMCA's/ recreational centers-- see if they offer classes, plus sports season is coming up; checkinto any leagues.... hope this helps
