How do I get water with 18 meg resistivity?

Install twin bed and MB with ROwater as Feed.but can not get 16-18 meg resistivity but instead only 0.1 meg. The units are newly install.What will I do to attain the required 16-18 meg resistivity.Is somthing wrong with the set-up. I did double regeneration for cation and anion.

Forget the salt, that would make the water as conductive as copper wire. Drop back and get a quantity of pure water. From there, work out how to get the resistivity that you need. I happen to know that pure water, with no impurities in it is almost infinite ohms.
