It is just one person now, but what about after that relationship ends? Without marriage, he/she could walk away any time he/she wants! Yes, it is a sin. However, there is no heirarchy of sin in God's eyes, one sin is no worse than the other and all are forgiven to those who have accepted Christ and REPENTED (turned away from) of their sin. Just out of curiosity, is the person who told you this trying to sleep with you? If so, run as fast as you can in the other direction, trust me, he won't stick around for too long if you say yes!

It says to now stay wide awake with yet another guy's spouse. in spite of the shown fact that it does not say you could not have intercourse outdoors your marriage once you're a guy. The bible is finished of lots and quite some godly adult males having concubines, that's in truth merely an extramarital pal with reward. Solomon, who Jesus stated as the wisest guy ever to stay, had a pair of hundred better halves and a variety of of alternative hundred concubines. The sensible guy of the a while replaced into getting busy so if God replaced into so against having quite some freaky intercourse and God is acquainted with the destiny then why did God call Solomon the wisest guy ever and bless him with riches? A concubine is a prostitute via the way, it particularly is barely a fancy call for an inhouse prostitute. So the only element the bible speaks against is being with yet another guy's spouse, as long with the aid of fact the female you decide on isn't married she is unfastened interest to you no count number in case you're married or not or no count number if or not she is a prostitute in accordance to the bible. the sought after way that folk call adult males adulterers is thoroughly unbiblical and it particularly is heresy.

I think sassinya is on the right track here. Marriage is in the heart. If you are able to invite God into your heart while you do all things, including a physical relationship with one person, then you are standing in a good place. but if your heart does not want God present while you are touching your partner, then you are in trouble with God, and your sexual behavior is not blessed. It is your heart that marries, and not a marriage certificate at the end of the day. The certificate is of human design, while the heart belongs to God. Remember, the pure in heart see God, and God is Love (not physical love, but spiritual Love). So if the heart does not love, then do not touch, because then you fall into the love of flesh.

Tough question. I believe anything ordained in God and God looking at the heart of a person, he would know and yet we don't know and be okay with it. It's really difficult to think about seeing as how Marriage is different now days than it was back then. Basically a Father would give the woman to the man and there was no holy ceremony .... at least not all the time.

Sin is sin, regardless of the details. One sin in your whole life is enough to separate you from God for eternity. He cannot tolerate sin in any form.
Trying to justify sin ("well, I know God sees this as sin, but it's not a sin if you do it this way" or "I know it's a sin but it must be ok because it makes me happy and God wants me happy" or any number of clever rationalizations we humans can come up with) is what Jesus got so angry with the Pharisees about repeatedly. He said sin is sin, no matter how you try to make it better. He also provided the only way for humans to have relationship with a holy God: His sacrificial atonement for anyone who will accept it.
God says any extra-marital sex is sin, and His Word goes. Sin is disobedience to God; why would it make any difference to Him if you disobeyed Him in one particular way instead of another? It's still disobedience. It's still making your own will more important to you than His,which is the ultimate definition of disobedience to God.

It takes two people to have sex but I guess your question is about just you? Any way you look at it, and accordingly to most religious communities, even thinking about it is a sin.
God forgives all who ask for it, so we as a people, do a lot of asking I'm sure. Nobody is perfect, so live your life the best you can and if you need forgiveness, God will grant you that if you ask him to do so!

One would only consider sex out of wedlock a sin if they were a Christian or a religious person. If one were a Christian or religious person they wouldn't have sex out of marriage, because they would believe it is sin.
So yes, it would still be sin.

It's called fornication which is a sin. If you truly love someone the marriage ceremony will not be a tough thing for you to do.
Irrespective of man's law - God's law supercedes it so that common law marriage holds no water with God.

It is my understanding that God forbids single people who are not married to one another (first) to have sex. It is called fornication...and yes, it is a sin. I think your friends are taking out of context something that was said regarding what should happen if a man takes a woman before marriage. It is his responsibility to then marry her so as not to bring shame to her and her family.

Exodus 20:14 - Thou shalt not commit adultery.
this means having sex with someone you are not married to. Sex is sacred and is meant ONLY between a man and a woman.
