Has anyone here thats been waiting for their refund had help from the tax advocate? Well its taking mine forever to get to me and finally the tax advocate lady finally stepped in, she said that she entered my info in the computer and if all goes well then the IRS will issue me a check last Friday. So last Fri she called back and said all went thru and that the ckeck was in the mail so now if hope to god its in the mail how long does it take to get to me? Do they mail it that Friday? I live 4 hours from Austin and the checks coming from Austin. Or has anyone had they're fund come to them from the tax advocate??

Yes I do seem to be very impatient but Ive been waiting for my refund now since Feb 2,2007 so if the tax advocate said it was mailed I'll be happy to see the post man.

The Taxpayer Advocate's office is very helpful. I have used them many times to help with client problems. The fastest way to get a refund is with direct deposit. I don't know what caused your delay so I can't speak to how fast it will take to get it resolved.

I have used a tax advocate in the past for myself and the person was very helpful. I also prepare taxes for free on a volunteer basis. It sounds to me like you are way too impatient. Sorry, but that's the way it seems to me. There is still a lot to go in the tax year. Electronic filing, direct deposit and filing early definantly improve your chances of getting a faster refund.
